Masturbation is not a sin if it glorifies God, for we are told in 1 Corinthians 10:31 to eat, drink, and do all things to the glory of God.

There is a way to masturbate to glorify God

The Holy Spirit is the one causing you to do it.

Philippians 2:13 (KJV) says, “It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” The fruit of the Spirit is peace: against such (peace) there is no law” (Galatians 5:2223, KJV). Whatever He causes you to do is for His glory, which is for your good. So, you should have peace in it.

There is no way you will look on a woman to lust after her to commit adultery in your heart (Matthew 5:28 (KJV))if it is the Holy Spirit who causes you to maturbate.

And masturbating to glorify God is of faith if the Lord is the one leading you. Shun the act if you are doubting it; for Romans 14:23 (KJV) says, “whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

Now, for those who are still asking:

Is masturbation a sin according to the bible?

No.

Some may say it is if it does not glorify God because sin is the nature that does not glorify the Father.

But the Lord has made all things including sin to work together for good to us, the body of Christ (Romans 8:28, KJV). Christians don’t sin. So, go ahead if it is to God’s glory.

Now:

Can the Holy Spirit work you to masturbate? Yes, perhaps, for a reason; with God, all things are possible (not some things), including sin (Matthew 19:26). Sin is a thing.

And can you masturbate without seeing anyone to lust after? Yes.

But wait:

Will God ever cause man to masturbate?

We, Christians, glorify God. We have the mind of Christ, not pornography and lust. The thinking and intent of a Christian is Christ. Christ is our wisdom, you know. And it is God which worketh in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. We do not masturbate, per our nature in Christ. “Because as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17, KJV). Does Jesus masturbate? No. So, why should we?

You may be like:

God loves you even if you masturbate

Yes, He said it in John 3:16, KJV: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” And in Romans 5:89, KJV: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

The good thing for you here is:

For you to have everlasting life and be saved from God’s wrath through Jesus, simply be in/of Christ by confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Receive the Lord Jesus to be saved now if you are not.

1 Corinthians 6:1920, KJV

“19 Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Galatians 5:1617, KJV

“16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”

Galatians 5:16 reveals how to stop masturbating if you are addicted to it. Read it again and learn how to walk in the Spirit.

Genesis 38:910, KJV

“9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.”

This is to those who are confused about this part of the scripture: Here, God put Onan to death for refusing to provide an heir for his deceased brother, not for wasting his seed (semen); Onan rebelled God’s command. And what he did was not masturbation.

Note: The word “masturbation” is not in the bible.
