Bible Verses about God’s Love

How to Love Like God. Bible verses about God's love.

God is love (bible verse 1 John 4:8).

You can’t love if you’re not of Him. 1 John 4:19 KJV has it this way: “We love him, because he first loved us”. He works us to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13), Meaning, your ability to love is from Him.

And as His Son (Jesus) is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). It’s clear in the bible and in your heart that Christians are His children (1 John 3:1-2, Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, John 1:12, and more), and the body of His Son, Christ Jesus (Romans 12:4-5). You see, you’re love. It’s your nature. You can only love.
