Abel Zavala

Abel Zavala is a Christian music artist from Mexico who has become well-known for his contributions to the Latin worship music scene. He was born on January 28, 1966, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Zavala began his musical career as a teenager, playing guitar and singing in local churches. He went on to study music at the Instituto Canzion in Monterrey, where he became a worship leader and began writing his own songs.

In the early 1990s, Zavala joined the Christian music group Grupo Vino Nuevo, which quickly gained popularity throughout Mexico and Latin America. He later joined the group Jesús Adrián Romero y Coalo Zamorano, where he continued to hone his skills as a songwriter and worship leader.

In 2004, Zavala released his first solo album, “Mi Pasión,” which featured original worship songs in Spanish. The album was well-received by audiences and helped establish Zavala as a solo artist. He has since released several more albums, including “Al Final” (2007), “El Padre Que Siempre Soñé” (2010), and “Creo en Ti” (2018).

Throughout his career, Zavala has collaborated with other well-known Christian music artists, including Marcos Witt, Danilo Montero, and Jesús Adrián Romero. He has also traveled extensively throughout Latin America, the United States, and Europe, leading worship and sharing his music with audiences around the world.

Today, Abel Zavala continues to write and record music, as well as serve as a worship leader and pastor at his home church in Monterrey. His music continues to inspire and encourage listeners, particularly within the Spanish-speaking Christian community.
