How to use the Name of Jesus
Want to get whatever you need?
Do you know what belongs to you? And do you know the authority you have over all things?
In this article, you’ll discover who you are, what you have and how to grab whatsoever your heart desires.
You wouldn’t think you lack, not anymore, after reading this article.
Everything that belongs to God is yours. And you can only find them in the realm of the spirit. The car you desire is there, too.
Access them by using your sixth sense
To use the sixth sense requires not self-righteousness, but the righteousness of God. You have that already if you believe in Jesus.
It requires human blood, too. You have that of the blood of Jesus already working for you.
God has provided Christians with everything that is required to get into the realm of the spirit, including the Name of Jesus Christ.
Your confession, prayers, thinking and maintaining your thoughts in Christ will send you there.
And before you go there, there must be a reason, need, and a desire.
Satan is afraid of Christians who can enter there anytime they want to.
Really want to access your needs?
You can’t do it without the Name of Jesus Christ.
But note that…
Not everyone can use the Name
It wouldn’t work if you don’t believe in Him.
Look at how the seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were disciplined by evil Spirits when they undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits in Acts 19:11-20.
Verse 15-17 says: The evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” 16 And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.
We own the wonderful Name of Jesus
Do you take faith to use what’s yours? No.
Legally, it’s ours, the body of Christ, to use.
We are told to use His Name in prayer (John 16:23-24). It is a promise given to the Church that came from the lips of Christ himself before he went to the cross.
Jesus’ Name is ours, because all things are ours in Him. They are not going to be ours. Already, they belong to you and me.
The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 said to the carnal – body-ruled – Christians in Corinth that all things are theirs and they are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
You see, even in your weakness you are of God as a believer. Who can be perfect like God? You can if you receive His perfection.
Receiving His perfection makes you part of the brethren – the Church.
And the Name of Jesus belongs to the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23), because the Church is the body of Him (1 Corinthians 12:27).
The Church has authority in the Name of Jesus
We are seated at the right hand of the Father, far above principalities and powers. Meaning, we are macho than they are.
Ephesians 1:22-23 says all things are under our feet, the Church. And it goes on to say that Christ is made the head of us.
You see, in that scripture, the little toe and the toenail are mentioned because they are parts of the feet. Even the little parts are far above principalities and powers.
So how can Satan ever defeat us?
It is impossible because we are members of the body of Christ.
Luke 10:19 also makes us understand that we are given authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy. And nothing shall hurt us.
Now you know how undefeatable we are.
Here’s the interesting part…
Keys belong to the authorized. Hope you know that?
We have the Keys of hell and of death (Revelation 1:8). Look at how Christ made a show of them openly after stripping Satan of the authority that was theirs in Colossians 2:15. He triumphed over them in it.
Do not forget that we are reigning as Kings in this life by Jesus (Romans 5:17). You are a child and heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). Know who you are today, for kings command things to happen. You are a King.
“There are more to prove our authority, but how do I use the Name of Jesus to get what I need?” You may be wondering.
Well, quickly, let’s learn…
How to use the Name of Jesus to get what we need
If that Name guarantees an answer, demand in it. It’s that simple.
1) One way is to command:
You can cast out devils in Jesus’ Name.
Also, you can demand that the sick be healed in His Name. Another word for demand is “ask.” Peter, for example, asked the man at the Gate called Beautiful to get up and walk in Jesus’ Name (Acts 3:1-9).
Here, Peter didn’t ask of the Father. Satan made the man cripple, he bound him.
So Peter had every legal right in Christ to demand that the man be left alone by asking him to get up and walk in Jesus’ Name.
Notice he didn’t pray.
2) You can also pray to God in that all-powerful Name:
Jesus makes us understand in John 16:23-24 that we shall receive whatsoever we ask the Father in His name.
You must know that there is nothing like praying through Jesus.
God answers all prayers of His only begotten Son. So pray as if it is Christ praying to the Father.
Don’t start or end your prayers with “through Jesus Christ.” Always start or end with “In the Name of Jesus Christ.”
Use His Name as a King with boldness when praying to the Father, begging in Jesus’ Name is an insult to Him. He is not a beggar. It means, we aren’t beggars, too.
3) Another way is to go into the world, and preach the Gospel in the Name of Jesus
And you will see signs that shall follow those that believe your message (Mark 16:15-18).
Forget this whole article if you have no faith (Hebrews 11:1). Thanks be to God Christians have faith in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
